Sound Buy app for iPhone and iPad

Sound Buy is a free app that allows you to search locations in England to find noise exposure data, crime incidents and nearby places of interest.

Easy navigation through app.

No need to sign up.

Locations can be added to favourites to be easily shortlisted.

Data on favourite locations can be directly compared to each other.

The noise exposure data contains a breakdown of day and night exposure enabling you see if the area is suitable for a home or business purchase.

It also contains information on the sources of noise exposure due to rail, road and industry and how many people this has affected.

The data included is categorised into a collection of dB ranges to assess the severity of the exposure.

For each location you can view a map to tour the area.

Whilst on the map you can pinpoint a location to get crime rates or nearby places.

The crime data retrieved will display the amount of crime within a specified month in a 1-mile radius of the pinpointed location enabling you to get an in-depth look at the surrounding area.

The crime data returned includes incidents of burglary, anti-social-behaviour, vehicle crime and possession of weapons.

Data in the app contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 using the UK Police API and a government dataset.
